About me
Hi, I'm André! A full stack web developer and a freelance software engineer from Portugal. I've been coding for 7 years and I love to create elegant and beautiful things.
I started my career working for a start-up. During the +5 years that I worked there I learned and perfected my web development skills, both backend and frontend.
On 2020 I decided to start my own venture, Skillpick, and also launch myself as a freelancer, helping others create modern web apps.

skeeled is a comprehensive talent acquisition suite that powers your recruitment process whether you're a small company or a big corporation.
I joined skeeled in it's early stages and contributed to it's development for +5 years, working with NodeJs, ExpressJs, MongoDB, VueJs, Vuetify.
Skillpick is platform where people can buy and sell experiences of different categories of occupations/ professions - let's call it the “Airbnb of careers”.
I founded and created Skillpick over the course of a few months using the MEVN stack, implementing various integrations such as Auth0, Stripe, BullMQ & Redis, Sendgrid and Firebase.
Blockper is an app that breaks down the complex world of crypto into bite-sized lessons that anyone can follow.
I helped the guys at Blockper fixing and rebuilding their website, built with Nuxt. I implemented animations with GSAP and improved the performance of the website with lazyloading, a better compression algorithm and font & images optimization.
